Camp Matters?

Gah, I’m so happy that my exam is over. I’m not very good with theoretical subjects.
Before I went to the exam, as I’ve mentioned before, I went to a camp!! I didn’t really enjoy it as much as I thought I would. No matter. I met some really cute guys there (haha the only thing exciting about it was the boys) and one of them even asked me for my email so we could be in touch (he asked for that after I mentioned that I don’t have facebook). I still think its awkward to receive emails from him. Apparently he didn’t live too far away from the place I went to camp and he goes to a private school near downtown. Maybe I’ll see him at some interschool dances. I still don’t know him very well yet, I’m still cautious. My friend was cheated by a guy she met at a school dance and she looked (and must be) really sad about it. Well, he seemed really nice and intelligent.
Oh, I’m going to Japan this Tuesday until the end of August! I’m getting so excited already!

I’m so happy that my 13 fish babies are growing so fast…but I’m deeply saddened by the fact that one of my other fish is dying T-T;; I guess life goes on…
So on Monday, it was the beginning of my first summer day camp! Camps are always the best places to make new friends! Hopefully, this leaves some room for practising my instruments >.>;; I have an exam coming up soon…So back to the camp, we didn’t do much the first day, but we were introduced to our new ‘leaders’ and an outline of what we were to do during these two weeks >< gah, I'm so excited already! There is time for 'recreation' every day, and every other day we would go swimming...erm, I'm not really interested in that part, since they give you so little time to wash and get ready for the next activity. I just wished that they did it at the end of the day so we could take our time...
It also appears that I don’t know anyone that is going to this camp this time…I’ll talk about what we’ve done later!
In Continuation…

In continuation of the last entry…
Sakuu’s comment has sparked a little lightbulb in my head XD. I do agree with the ‘Most Improved Award’. To those who always are in the top of their class, they won’t know how hard it is to improve their marks from 70s to 80s, or maybe in the 90s. It takes patience and dedication to improve even just 1 percent to them, and every success they gain should be rewarded. I’m not saying that those who always get A+ in their report cards don’t work hard as well, because I know that it is more hard to become better than you were if you already get such high marks. Since the ones who get first place in academic competitions already get a medal and a certificate, they should not be over-given prizes. I’m proud of my friends who get these awards, but I’ve witnessed others who cry because they didn’t win, and I feel terribly sorry for them. I know one girl who is over pressured because her parents since they are experts/teachers in that subject. I’m not sure what happens behind the scenes, but I feel that she is very sad every single time she doesn’t meet her/parents/audiences’ expectations. I know that she is very good, I’ve been there when she proved herself.
I myself, have no pride in my so-called talents, nor prejudice against those who do better than me. I admire those who try their best. Please note that I know some people who don’t even work hard and they’ll get 100%. It’s in their genes I guess…
On a much lighter note~ I’ve had some time to go window shopping for clothes online!

Everyone has to agree on this right? The rich get richer, the poor get poorer…unless you win the lottery and automatically rise up a few classes…which is highly unlikely to happen to everyone.
Well, I’m not talking about wealth this time, I’m talking about academics. Please note in advance that I am not jealous, since I have many other things that are more important, but I know that a few classmates and probably some people out there do care about these things.
You know how sometimes during contests, the first prize winner gets to have an extra prize, other than the ribbon/award? For example—free lessons to make you smarter, you get to socialize with extra smart people like yourself…etc. The thing I am concerned of is—why? There are thousands of other people out there who are not the first place winner, however, they may and probably will have potential to do better later in their lives? Why not give them the opportunity to get free lessons? Why don’t the non-first place winners go and socialize and have master classes with the masters? The best become better, the not-as-best stay the same—unless all of a sudden they become super smart without the need of extra help and become the first place.
…I’m pretty sure that this entry will have a continuation….
